ssis derived column

i am used in ssis 2008.
i had worked the ssis 2008... i want convert the float to string in derived column transformation. in this transformation convert() is not available. so how to covert. anyone answer for my questions.

You wouldn't use derived column to convert a data type, that doesn't make sense. Derived column is used to do calculations for a new field.

What you want to use is the data conversion transformation.
