sql server 2000 database file unable to attach in sql server 2008 ?

hi,
i try to attach Sql server 2000 database file in sql server 2008 i got the following error,
i tried in google, but my problem is not solved ...


Attach Database Failed for Server 'Aru2008' (Microsoft.sqls erver.smo)
An severe error occured on current command. the results if any should be discarded.. Converting database 'Costing0809'
from version 539 to 655. Database 'Costing0809' running the upgrade step from version 539 to version 551...

Plz help me ....

Why not backup your db in sql2000 and restore it in sql2008 instead?

HI ,

Thanks For Your Reply, there is one table is corrupt in the Database file , i create New database and Import all the data, skip the corrupt table , now it's working Fine...
