Get records based on month and year

I am passing month and year in a single string to stored procedure,,
In my table date column is there, Now i want all the records on particular month and year which am passing,,

Plz any body can help me to write this query,

You can use the year() and month() functions to extract the year and month, respectively, from a date data type to do your filtering.
