How to define Collation in SQL SERVER 2008 ?

Hi,

I wants to know basic use of COLLATION in SQL ? Define Collation ? Unicode Datatypes is used to support multiple languages ?

COLLATION is the LANGUAGE TYPE, as the developer choose their own language.

Please clarify my doubt. Thanks
