i have installed SQLSERVER2005 on my system but when i try to connect databse with my prog it gives me an error named pipes error:server not found whts wrong with it....pls help me

a pipe error in microsoft oftern referrs to tcp/udp ports, which is the port that you have the listener node listening for conenctions.
you have more steps to complete then just a simple install and run with it.
follow your install guide, their should be a part where you have to authinticate the sqlserver2005 users with passwords.
and give access for your db either to be wide open to the network or just a local network.
