SQL Excel - freeware add-in for excel

    Hi Everyone

I just released a new version of SQL Excel - it is a freeware add-in
for excel (http://www.sqlexcel.net). There are several good
enhancements in this release and I think it is great free tool. Maybe
it is normal I think that !) But please take a look.

If you go to the home page of the site, you will see on the right hand
side there is a few links to some demo videos where you can get an
idea of what it can be used for. At the moment the addin can only be
use for running SELECT statements (disabled the action queries -
DELETE, UPDATE, INSERT..) but you can use it to run SP's.. Maybe
these should be disabled too in the next release.

In any case, any feedback would be great. The add-in is a COM one so
it can run in Excel 2000 and more recent (2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007).
You need MDAC and MSXML parser on your machine for it to run and you
need to have admin privideges to run the install package.

It would be really great to get some feedback and suggestions for
    improvements/changes.

Thanks very much for reading this and have a good one.

    Al

Hi, sorry I forgot to add that I tested the addin on SQL Server 2000
and 2005 and it was working fine. It was tested on alot of different
platforms and it should work fine with any ODBC compliant data
    source..
Thanks and take it easy, Al
