I recently installed SQL 2005 Express on a SBS 2003 Server that is running SQL 2000.
Here's the events and the question I need help with:
1) After the successful installation of SQL 2005 Express and the Management Studio, I attached an existing 2000 Database.
2) I created a new Database in the Management Studio
3) I created a SQL script that created a 'Copy' of a Table in the SQL 2000 database and it ran successfully.
4) I detached the SQL 2000 Database from the Management Studio
5) I attempted to Register the SQL 2000 Database with the Enterprise Manager (as it had been before) and now the Enterprise Manager cannot register 'attach' the database.
Any ideas why?
Does attaching, accessing (not writing), to the SQL 2000 Database to the SQL 2005 Management Studio 'migrate' or 'upgrade' the 2000 Database? or somehow else change it to where Enterprise Manager no longer recognizes it?
Help?
