I know similar threads have come up in the past, but they didn't have what I need. Please be patient.
I have a website with a small db (~5 tables, 1000 entries). I was just using Access for a while, but we became convinced we needed to update to SQL server. Anyway, now we need to move back because we just switched web servers. I have an Access file from a few years ago (all the same fields, etc, just with maybe half of the entries) and two files (.mdf and ldf) that were sent to me from the old server. I can not figure out how to point SQL server (downloaded trial version) to the mdf file.
If I did that, I think I could get the data off. Is there any other way to extract the data from the .mdf file?
