We are planing on developing our own software at a distribution center I work for and one IT guy suggested starting it from scratch using C++ language, the other guy we interviewed said he suggested Filemaker. Which is better and why? We are a small company with 30 users in our network and our DB is mainly used to generate reports i.e. inventories, what came in and went out, send automated emails, store pics, and barcode scanning.
