    Quality During Software Development

    Hi,

I work in a company and we are continously trying to improve the quality of our software development process.

Below are some thigs we have done to try and improve this:

    - Functional Specs were written by the developers based on Business Requirement Documents and subsequently reviewed, updated and signed off by the business.
    - All Third Party Vendor Dependencies were delivered prior to the start of Development.
    - All Scope Items for Development were completed prior to the start of the System Test Cycle.
    - Peer Reviews : As each development task was completed we conducted peer reviews.
    - Business Reviews : Once the peer reviews were completed successfully we carried out reviews for each of the Change Requests with the Business.

Is there any other things we can do that we are not doing?

        hi,

I would recommend that you look at the rational unified process (RUP). You seem to be heading in this direction anyway and seeing some examples may help you to better structure your process.

You can always improve your process - it should be continually adapting as your experience and business grows. I think that you have a good start with what you have mentioned, but there is still a lot that you can do.
