        don't be help desk I was working as an internal help desk personell at SBC YAHOO! DSL... actually before it was yahoo so SBC DSL.


        Internal meaning i didn't help customers... the employees called me when they had problems they couldn't fix aka support for the employees... this also sucked. I also worked on the floor taking calls for SBC you wouldn't believe they type of people your talking to...


        Ok open your cd rom... that cup holder? yes....


        Now i'm a web developer which is 10x better.

          i know this sounds totaly stupid but i always enjoyed helping stupid people with their computer problems. i think i just like to feel smarter than the rest of the people

            Its a nice feeling to help others. I think that "greater than all" feeling would eventually wear out and the job would just turn into tedious work after a while.

              yea probably but it is kinda nice when i am in my english class and some attractive young lady has computer problems and i can help her

                Hehe!

                I used to have that role...'cept of course it was guys that would come to me. The problem was that the unattractive ones needed help too and once they found out that I knew stuff and that was able to help I got swamped.

                I had to find hiding spots in the school to get my homework done!
                The best place was behind some stairs.

                  interesting use of behind the stairs (getting homework done) i found some more enjoyable uses for that private place
