Hi all,
I have been exploring python as an alternative to Labview for controlling and collecting data from lab instruments like a temperature controller and source measure unit. I use Pyvisa to control the instruments. All this works fine. But now I want to implement the equivalent of a LabView chart that plots the data collected from my source measure unit. What is the best way forward? Is Chaco/Traits the best option or is there some way to tweaking pylab to auto-update?
By the way, I have tried pylab with the interactive mode but it just hangs until I manually shut it down in my Pentium IV Windows XP machine.
cheers!
