Hey All,
As a python newbie, I can't find a solution to the following problem:
So, microsoft office 2007 creates ~$YOURFILE.ppt whenever you are viewing your file and have not closed the file.
so the copy_tree(src, dest, update = True) from distutils.dir_u til fails and returns an exception:
"Permission Denied IO: Error 13"
I understand what the problem is, even when I want to open the ~$YOURFILE.ppt, I can't because whoever is using the original file, has the original file still open.
How do you get around this?
I ve been thinking of giving a callback function to copy_tree that will ignore the files that start with ~$ or files whose permission attribute is "denied".
Let me know what your thoughts are
