Re: help regarding testing web page

I would like to thank all of you for your replies. Yes, I live in
    California and I am married-:).
As for your question vishal, I have been working on PHP and MySQL for
some months now. I am actually helping one of the non-profit
organisation with their website. I am developing a guestbook for them.
I know there are many guestbook programs available on the net but I
just wanted to code it myself. I am done with it and I want to host it.
Before that they told me they would want to test first. It will be
great if we can be of some help to each other. So do contact if you need
any help. I will do the same. I like exchanging ideas...

    bye

Oops! She doesn't seem to be in Ahmedabad and might be in
California. BTW, please don't use "r", "u", etc. Reason: many native
    speakers don't like such usage.

    Completely right.

One extra thingy: Be sure that your router/modem/whatever has a port open
that is mapped to YOUR developmentmach ine's IP (internal IP) and that it
    points to port 80.

Presumably you have some sort of internet connection. So just make your
connection, check your ip address, and then tell the other person what
    your ip address is.

As long as your configs are set up to allow it then your copy of apache
should work just fine for them to access (even on a dialup connection,
though of course that will be slower). All they need is the ip address.

yes karuna there is a way. there are so many sites which are providing
free web hosting but it is not safe as anytime the server can crash and
you many lose your files or someone may copy your scripts. but if you
just want to test your scripts and u r ready to take risk you can try
sites which provide free web hosting. you can get a list of sites
providing free web hosting from google serach.

anyway tell me where r u from and from how much time you are working in
php-mysql-apache. i am vishal from ahmedabad and i have just started to
develop in php-mysql-apache so we can be helpful to each other in
    future

    help regarding testing web page

    Hi,
I have developed a website in my local machine using PHP, MySql and
apache. It's not uploaded on the net. The pesrson for whom I have
developed this wants to test it before actually putting it online on
their website. How do I let her test it? Is there a way?

    regards
