Mozilla Browser (www.mozilla.org) comes with a "composer" which supports
wysiwyg, without bloating the code.

For proper text-based html coding, the Composer is not too user friendly
(no code cleaner, no code-auto completion etc.), but it works pretty
well for the wysiwyg-mode.

I just started to try php too, and I downloaded a php editor,
(http://www.phpedit.net/) which does all this code-help for you. I think
this combination should work pretty much. It supports previews in your
default browser.

*REAL* web developers use a text editor, not one of these expensive
WYSIWYG toys which produces bloated code.

I wouldn't go that far... Afterall, I do prefer FrontPage code to MS
Word or Excel code. ;) ...and yes, I have seen entire sites published
using those two programs.

Currently I use MS Frontpage to design my webpages. For the site of my
brother in law I want to start using PHP. No I know I can use ASP tags but
my provider doesn't support them. So I now have a problem when using
Frontpage. What is a good replacement for Frontpage. I looked at Dreamweaver
but this is very expensive.
