How to fetch comments field from MySQL Table?

Is it possible to fetch "Comments" field of a Mysql database table row with PHP?

I know I can fetch 'Field', 'Type', 'Null' 'Default', 'Extra' with 'DESCRIBE table'

I don’t think so, although an SQL-dump should also contain comments.

comments are just that—comments, even in PHP comments are not parsed.

Where table is your table and database is your database. Database is optional if you have already used mysql_select_db you don't need it.
