what i can do hide the gride view form the magento category view page?

hello everyone i am doing a pjt in magento now iam facing aproblem in category page that i need only list type view, want to hide the grid type.From searching i came to know it should be solved by editing the 'toolbar.phtml' if any one had the corret code please post thank u.
