    mysql_connect() timing out... No idea why... help?

    Code:
    $db_conn = mysql_connect($program->db_server, $program->db_user, $program->db_pass) or die(mysql_error());
    I have print_r() the instanced class variable, and everything is set before the above code.
    I get the error: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded. It doesn't even get to the mysql_error()

    I am running PHP 5.3.2 with Apache 2.2, and MySQL 5.1.48-community. MySQL max connections is at 20. In Windows XP

    The funny thing is. I have phpMyAdmin open in another Tab, and I am able to access the DB. I've ran through the config file and used the same server/user/pass and it still times out on my script...

    Any ideas?

    sigh after an hour of research... I just started closing down programs...

    I guess many port heavy programs like "μTorrent" don't treat MySQL good... ugh.
