php_gd2.dll download

Hi,

I figured I don't have php_gd2.dll file in redhat linux server which I need to run some application. Can anyone please advise where I can download this dll for php5.2.10 and redhat linux 5? Appreciated if anyone can help.

In addition, my linux cannot download any file from outside through internet. Therefore I cannot use "up2date php_gd" or yum install command. Please help me with the download on direct file using my PC running window. Thanks a lot.

Hey.

DLL files are Windows library files. They do not work on Unix systems (natively). Unix systems use .so files for a similar purpose.

I don't know where you can find valid .so files to match your PHP version, but to use one you would download it, put it in an accessible directory somewhere, and add a line to the php.ini file to enable it. That line should look something like:
[code=text]extension=/path/to/extension/gd.so[/code]

You can also enable extensions by re-compiling PHP from source, and including the extension specific parameter in the ./configure command.
