sending mails

hii guys i have a small query.i have around 700 email id's whom i have to send at emails to all same emails .so if i send at once it may go as spam to them.So i tht of sending 50 at a time by selecting limit 50 from database and mail and loop through.how can i give a time delay in form loop.

Why do it that way?

If you send it to many email addresses at the same time you have to worry about BCC and all that stuff, more hassle than it's worth.

You could get all the email addresses from your database in one go. Then loop through the results one at a time sending the email to each email address individually.

There's no need to worry about BCC as each recipient is the only recipient on that delivery, the code is fairly straight forward, you only need to set the headers once so there's no extra overhead and with no need to worry about time delays and limit queries and all that jazz the code easier to develop and maintain.

If you do want a delay, you could use sleep().
