PHP extensions http&pop3

Hi and thanks for paying attention to my question =)

How can I use http_get(), http_post_field s() and some pop3_xxx() functions on a free webhost?
Is there any free webhost where these extensions are already installed?
Or is there any possibility to install them? (I tried exec('pear install pecl_http') and such things, but it didn't resume)
Or, finally, are there alternatives for these functions?

I doubt many free host would offer support for these functions. There is to much potential for misuse. I have at least never found any such server (not that I've spent much time looking).

There are alternatives, such as cUrl, and you could of course use Sockets. But most free hosts will surely have disabled (or rather, not installed) these extensions as well.

And I doubt very much that any free server would give you the level of access required to install any of these yourself.

Everything comes at a price. This is what you have to pay for a free service. :)
