Change the week start day to Saturday

Can anyone help on this,

I want to change the week start day from sunday to saturday. Normally the week starts from sunday, but i want to change it as starting from saturday using either by MYSQL or PHP... can anyone help me....

as per the system time every week start at sunday and ends on saturday. But i want to change it as week start on saturday and ends on friday. Is it possible...?
