Creating a stats file to log link clicks

I wish to make a stats.htm file where I can see the number of hits that each link is clicked on a jpeg in my test.htm.

At the moment I have this test.htm which has a jpeg with 5 selection areas that link to other websites.

I wish to create a stats.htm where I can see the total number o hits per each one of those links.

I know it's easy to programme it but I don't have the knowledge.

Can you forward me a sample so I can start with?
