    What book to choose?

I would appreciate if somebody could recommend a good book or other
    resources on PHP
which would be easy to follow and to understand and which would help
to build a web application from beginning to end. I have programming
logic experience and know JavaScript pretty good.

    Thank you

I have found two books useful.

        - PHP in 24 hours 3rd Edition (Matt Zandstra) - Good for beginners. I
originally learnt to program using Java and found this was a gentle
        introduction to PHP.
        - Beginning PHP5 & MySQL from novice to professional (W. Jason Gilmore) - I
find the book really useful and the author puts some effort in by explaining
        the code.

        Cheers

        Phil
