Truble with connection to MySQL

hi every1

ive got truble with PHP/MySQL conection - it is working but not all the time every 10-20 times i get this:
Warning: mysql_connect() : Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10022)

any thougths? any1 know what is wrong
i will appreciate any help

it would help if i could see your code, just put '*' where your username and password goes if you don't your info floating around the net

Does your code change the login or server settings on the fly or are they static values?
Is your server running Windows 95 with 2mb ram and just cant keep up?
Is the network cable loose?
Is sombody constantly tripping over the power cords?

I'm shooting blind here. Could you attleast point me in the right direction? ;P
