    Default

hey guys, i have a default section on a HTML page, basicaly its a checkbox that when clicked will keep the contents of a drop downlist the same when the page is next reloaded.

so when the box is checked, the page submited, then that page is like that until the next time the checkbox is checked and submited.

i havent a clue how to write it.

      Steps

      1. USer LOGS on

      2. they are then redirected to a page based on their name e.g DO is directed to DO.php

      3. DO.php contains a table of users and dropdowns with locations, that need to be changed.

      4. the locations are changed, then i want the option to check a CHECKBOX, to save the changes to DEFAULT settings for the next time the page is loaded.

sorry, im not very good at making any sense in forums....but i hope this sort of helps ya

create a table for users with id,username, pwd ,login_page. and validate the usernames gainst to the table. if its a correct user name with password redirect the user to the page.

create another table for with default settings and update the default settings with the user specified values.
next time when he logs he will get the updated results.
