        I use PSPad which is pretty good. I really want something like
        TextMate for XP, but haven't found anything yet.

            Cool... I've been using CE for quite a while now. Not bad for a guys'
            thesis project (IIRC that's where it originated).

            Very small, very fast, feature rich.

                        I actually don't use the entire eclipse bundle, but install pdt via the
                        update site.

                        debug works great but only for php scripts not for php in web pages. I
                        know it can be done, but never tried it.

                        code completion works fine.

                        how did you setup xdebug with eclipse?
