I'm looking for a simple way to call a java class (or jar) from php. I do know that you can use the java-bridge over at http://php-java-bridge.sourcefo rge.net/pjb/ but its pretty much of an overkill for my purpose.
Is there another way? I've read that java integration should be easier with PHP 5.2.x. What about that built-in java extension?
Any general advice, tutorial links are welcome.
