    commercial use of mysql interface

If I create a commercial web application in PHP that
    uses mysql extensions (e.g. mysql_insert_id ()),
do I have to get a license for the commercial
    version of mysql?

You can read MySQL AB's licensing policy here:

Unless you plan to package MySQL with your product, you don't have to pay,
but it would be courteous of you if you did (after all, you'll indirectly
      be making money off MySQL).
