Internet Explorer Rendering The Output Of My PHP Pages Badly

http://www.houseproudlancs.co.uk/index.new.htm is the worst, can somebody
please have a look and tell me where im going wrong? It shows fine in
opera, konqueror, mozilla, netscape but not IE.

i could check the users browser, and if its IE, show a different page, but
    thats a bad workaround.

    TIA

This has nothing to do with PHP. Before you do ask elsewhere, don't
forget your homework again: check the archives and FAQs, lurk before
posting, and validate your markup (or at least provide in your post
an explanation of why it doesn't validate).

Anyhow, out of curiosity, why are image widths expressed as
    percentages? See HTML4.01 sec. 13.7.1.

Not only a bad (non-)workaround, but the source of yet more problems.

Firstly, that is not a PHP question and this is a PHP newsgroup.

Having had a quick glance at the source I found the HTML code is all over
the place - lots of mistakes in the <table>, an <h2> tag in the <head>
      section, etc.etc.

It is. Fix the source of the problem. Learn some basic HTML.

        This should help:

W3C's easy-to-use markup validation service, based on SGML and XML parsers.

but your question isn't PHP-specific. In the future you should try an HTML
        group.

thanks shaun. the reason i posted here is incase i could have implemented
          the page better in php.

anyway, the code is a complete mess in windows notepad, but the layout of
the code looks fine in kwrite.

I assume you have got squares instead of line-breaks in the windows
            notepad, right?
This is due to the different ways a line-break is presented under
            Windows and under Unix(Linux)-Systems.

Try an other text-editor under windows or try unix2dos.

i know that - i think sum1 said my code was layed out badly - might have
              misunderstood tho.
