Hello:
I am going to develop a web site to manage a conference, i.e.:
- Submission of presentations
- Registration of assistants
- Hotel booking
- …
I have experience in programming php+mysql and javascript. So, my
initial idea is to program the web from the scratch. However, before
to begin, I am thinking to use phpnuke or postnuke since some work
would be done (for example: user management). I have some question to
make you:
- Which is better: phpnuke or postnuke? It seems like phpnuke have
more addons (modules, themes, …) and the results of postnuke are more
impressive.
- How difficult is to program a module for any of these systems? I am
wondering if I will loose a lot of time by learning how to program for
php- or post-nuke.
Please let me know what you think
Sincerely,
Carlos.
