www.phprojekt.com is a free groupware software that contains a nice
helpdesk module, allowing you among other things letting your
customers entering requests throught a web page, which depending on
the subject entered by the customer it is forwarded to specific
members of your team. There is also a knowledgebase builded upon
solved requests, which is searcheable by your customers.
