Linux Distros

Greeting all,

I was wondering if anyone would like to offer some opinions on the various
Linux distros out there. I plan to dual boot both Windows XP Pro and Linux
and run PHP on the Linux partition with an Apache server (I have PHP on an
Apache Server which is running on Windows XP presently). At present I do not
have any plans beyond using this for local development. I would assume that
since I want to dual boot Windows XP and Linux, that would have some bearing
on the distribution I ultimately choose. Anyone have any opinions they would
like to offer?

It doesn't really matter, SuSE, RedHat, Mandrake, Gentoo, Slackware,
they all have the ability to dual-boot Windows and Linux, the first big
three will do it all automatically for you. What distro you use is
entirely down to you, and of course thats why we all love Linux so much.

Many thanks for the recommendations . I have gotten a few other people
recommend Mandrake so I am really leaning toward that one.
