How to copy the contents of 1 column to other column of ecxcel using perl script?

I have to search a string in excel sheet and if it is present then copy contents of that column to other.

When you ask a question in the forums, its a good idea to include any code that you may have been trying. We are going to make you do the leg work anyway and are not just going to give you the code. Its a learning forum.

I would say research the Excel modules that are available for accessing Excel spreadsheets. I have used the DBD::Excel module, which allows you to use the DBI interface to work with the spreadsheets.
