cgi popup_menu multi selection

I am new to CGI in perl. I can create a popup_menu and populate it with data. I can also recover the selected item. What I would like to do is be able to select multiple items at once and recover them to an array in my script. Any help on doing this or a different approach to accomplish the same thing would be really appreciated.
