    ActivePerl 5.8.8.824 installation problem

    Hello Team

    I am trying to install Bugzilla on Windows 2003

    Bugzilla version: bugzilla-3.0.5 and ActivePerl Version : v5.8.8.864


    The problem is When I tryied installing ActivePerl ,
    Error showing :" Installation package is not supported
    by this processor type , contact your product verdor"


    Bugzilla version: bugzilla-3.0.5
    and ActivePerl Version : v5.10.5

    Also I tried Installing v5.10.5 of ActivePerl most of the components were install but DBD-mysql is not installing

    can u plz guide me how to proceed , or wat to install correctly

    That is a problem with Active Perl. Not all of the modules are available for your use. You do tend to get a a good number of errors when trying to install them (at least I always did). This is the reason I switched to Strawberry Perl. It uses the standard CPAN interface to install modules and modules don't have to be ported to it, they just install as usual.

    As for your processor type, I am not sure why you got that error. What are you installing all of this on for a machine?

      Make sure you are installing the correct activeperl binaries for your specific operating system and cpu architecture. They are listed on the activestate website.
