Expect.pm module installation need help

I am trying to install Expect.pm on my sun solaris machine but at the time of Pty.pm installation it gave an error. Do I need gcc installed on my machine to install this module?

yes , u should have gcc.
It tries to compile a c code using gcc and u need that.
