Perl and Apache Derby

Has anyone tried connecting and running queries on Apache Derby using perl?

If so, what modules are required?

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I have not messed with it and after a quick search at CPAN there does not appear to be any modules at this time (at least obvious ones). You might check the Apache Derby mailing list and community for better results.
