tns:could not resolve service name

Dear All,

Plz help me with this oracle form builder installation?
I have installed SQL *PLUS Release 9.2.0.1.0 and then installed form builder 9.0.2.7.0. When i enter the following

username password database
system manager

I get the folowing error ;
ORA - 12154 TNS could not resolve service name.
I'm getting error when i enter into the oracle form builder
connection.

the same username and password is working with sql plus.
I heard that you have to copy the tnsnames.ora file from the sql plus folder to forms builder folder.Can anyone please suggest which tnsnames.ora file is to copied and where in the form builder folder should i paste it?

Although the TNSNames.ORA file's settings are not particularly complex it s a bit finicky to get right. The error messages which you receive if it is not right don't help much in finding out what is wrong. I spent a working day trying and failing to sort out settings in a TNSNames.ORA file before I realised that I had the service name incorrect. If you can connect via SQLPlus then at least you have the advantage of knowing exactly what the Service Name is, and you clearly have a valid username and password.
