    DBMS versus file system

    What are the differences in between dbms and filesystem? and more over i want to know about the integrity constraints,joi ns,triggers

      You can't compare rdbms with filesystem because ... there are not comparable.
      You can compare one rdbms with another or one filesystem with another.
      What do you think rdbms is?

      You need information about
      rdbms technology,trig gers,joins and integrity constraints.
      in oracle rdbms I guess (you write a post in oracle forum).
      I think the best think you can do is to read the manual for the oracle database release you are interested in.

        I'm sure, you are familiar with vehicles, so let me explain:

        If the File System is a truck, then the RDBMS is a submarine.
        The control board would be the trigger,
        the transmission would be the join and
        the bolts are the integrity constraints

        See ?
        It's easy to explain trucks and ships ...
