9i's runInstaller - is their a commandline or windowless version?

I need to install Oracle 9i remotely and the GUI (I think) gets in the
way. It takes sooooo long to do anything and yet I can tell the remote
system is nearly idling waiting for X to let-go of the net.

I googled the groups and didn't see command line options, and it doesn't
seem to understand --help. Does anyone know for sure?

    Thomas,

What you need is a response file. Check out the Oracle Universal Installer
    Documentation.

Easier said than doen. Googles and Oracle searches for "universal
installer documentation response file" doesn't find much appropriate.
      I'll keep looking.

        Strange.

From http://tahiti.oracle.com , I went to the Oracle 9i docs, and searched
        for

        install and response and file

The manual you need to read is the Universal Installer Concepts Guide.
