I am looking for Oracle Application Server 4.0.8.2. Anybody knows internet
site I can download it from?

No - it's old and outdated. Besides; it's a patch level,
you need 4.0.8 (.0.0), and patch it to 4.0.8.2.0.

Patches require a support contract with Oracle, so you have
access to metalink, where patches can be downloaded from

I have WinXP machine running Oracle 8i DB server , Which Oracle application
server version can I install there?

Check meatlink for compatibility with XP.
afaik XP Professional (Home is a no-no) with 9iAS Rel2, although
I have Rel 1 up-and-running
