    How upgrade oracle 8i database to 9.2.0.4?

    1. Install 9201, run db upgrade scripts, then apply 9204 patch.
    2. Install 9201, apply 9204 patch, then run db upgrade scripts.

    Are there any knowing issues using the second approach?

      Not as long as you follow the directions.
      IIRC, you'll need to start at V8.1.7.4 or there abouts
