    ORACLE 9.2.0.4.0 + LINUX SLACKWARE 9.0 = SUCCESS

    Hi all,

for anyone interested, I've just successfully installed Oracle 9iR2
    (9.2.0.4.0) on Linux Slackware 9.0 (gcc-3.2.2, kernel 2.4.20).

Actually, the installation of base release 9.2.0.1.0 produced some
relink errors, fully resolved by patchset 9.2.0.4.0.

    Best regards.

How much disk space was required for Oracle and the demo database? Did
    you choose "Enterprise Edition"?

Yes Dave, Enterprise Edition, without creating the demo database.
      ORACLE_HOME takes approx. 2.3 Gb

Enterprise Edition, without creating a demo database (I created a
        custom one by scripts).

The Oracle software takes approx. 2.3 Gb under the ORACLE_HOME

        Angelo

I didn't install the demo database, I used my scripts to create a custom one.

Enterprise Edition takes about 2.3 Gb under the $ORACLE_HOME

            Thank you.

On Solaris the package requires 2.4GB for the code and 1.3GB for the demo
            database.
