    Oracle 8i on WinXP?

    I'm trying to install Oracle 8i into my Windows XP computer but without
    luck. Do I need Oracle 9i?

          NO - do you have a PIV? Search the archives.

          8i isn't certified for XP. Only XP professional supports 9i
