i am working on develop online project.
on oracle 8i database(on win2000),
oracle 9i app server(on win 2000),
and developer 2000
Now the main issue is performance.
over 400 employees connected with oracle with browser.
now the problem is how to set the performance of oracle 8i server and
9i application server.
1. what are the harware configration of oracle 8i database and 9i app
server
like (Ram,OS,process or,harddisk etc.)
we are running 8i on win 2000 ,
**Is any performance benefit if we install 8i database on linux.
2.ten tables with more than 30,00,000 rows(each table)
for these table how to set tablespace extends size ,and table extends
size
now our planning is to create diff tablespace for each table is it ok
or not.
3.how to set init.ora file with sga and diffrent buffer paramere &
its size.
