I developed a report with only one text item, no frame and repeating frame.
I dont even have a data model. I just placed a text item in the lay out and ran the report in apps.

It shows margin has no length or width. Is it mandatory in Apps that the report should have a repeating frame. Because if i run the report normaly it is displaying te text itme

What is the height/width of the report's main,trailor and header section?
And what is the lenght of the text item? Is it very small?

It is not mandatory to have repeating frame in the report. Repeating frames are used only in case if you are refering to data from data model groups
