    Hello,

    I am learning oracle on my own. I have been having problems creating a control file for a tab delimited files. I am using term "terminated by whitespace" but the date format i am importing has a date and time and it is giving an error message. Can somebody please help, how this is done?

      It all depends on the format of the date time, e.g. 11/07/2006 13:00:00.

      In this example, the field that is the date needs to be formatted as:

      Begin_date DATE 'mm/dd/yyyy hh24:mi:ss'
