Remote shutdown problem

I tried to shut down another PC from mine with command line parameter "shutdown". But I got an error like "Access denied".The question is:"Can I pass this error and finally shut down another PC?".
Another question is:"How can I shut down another PC when access denied?"

So it sounds like you're not authenticating to the computer - do you have access to the admin account?

Are you trying to script a shutdown? Why not put it in a scheduled job or - if possible - a GPO?
