How do i put my website online?

I have developed one website; but i dont know how to put it on world wide web so that it is visible to all.
Can someone tell the procedure.

You need to decide if you are going to host your own domain, or pay for hosting. When you pay for hosting you get a set amount of space ,but don't have to worry about the hardware. If you do it yourself, you have to maintain the server and the site.

So i would like to know the procedure for it and another thing i want to know is once i put it on world wide web ;by paying it for hosting.. what i need to do if i want to make changes in it later on; apart from informing the person whom ill be paying for hosting my website?

If you're going to pay for hosting, decide what company you would prefer - some offer larger capacity limits, others offer uptime guarantees. You just have to figure out which works best for you.

Once you have a hosting service, you can purchase a domain name through them, and they'll give you a procedure for uploading your site.

Buy a computer, install server software, buy a domain, have it pointed to your server's IP.
